Repair Leaking Slab and Concrete

This rainy season lot of house experience leaking. Slab, concrete cement, roof and even wall can be leaking when a lot of rain pour down. And of course headache is coming together. So here we can repair leaking slab, wall ,roof or concrete with minimal cost. And of course we can do by ourselves.

Here are the easy and Do-It-Yourself tips we can do to repair this leakage. Yes, there are post about another DIY project before too. But this is not permanent solution which may be leakage will coming out again within 2-3 years.

Using waterproof coating, we can apply it to surface and let it dry. There are few waterproofing brand outside, from small, medium to large depends on your need. As i only need a bit, so i buy the smallest i can find.

There are few simple step to make sure coating apply can last long and working efficiently.

  1. Make sure surface are CLEAN from any dust or particle. Its to make sure when we apply, it can absorb directly to concrete/slab surface.
  2. Apply it by layer.  Applying 2-3 times is better than single apply. To apply it, we can use paint brush or roller which one is you prefer. For me, i like to use roller to get even surface and faster job

  3. Now its done. Lets monitor again when raining is coming, If necessary need to apply again. We hope this kind of job can help to repair leaking or crack slab ,wall or concrete. And of course to save money. But if still happened after 3-4 times doing the same thing, i suggest better appoint a professional to look the issue which we may overlook or don’t know where its the rain is coming through.
